What is oil condition monitoring?
It means tracking the condition of the lubricant in service, instead of changing it purely by calendar. Viscosity, water content, wear particles and overall oil quality reveal the state of the equipment before failure occurs.
What is the difference between online sensors, portable and benchtop instruments?
The online sensor is installed on the equipment and measures 24/7, raising an alert before failure. The portable instrument performs sample diagnostics in the field. The benchtop delivers laboratory-grade precision for fuller analysis.
Which parameters does the line track?
Viscosity, water content, wear particles and overall oil quality, depending on the equipment chosen. Each catalog datasheet details what that model measures.
Which sectors is the line suited to?
Marine and offshore, energy, general industrial maintenance, air transport and agribusiness, among others. Equipment selection depends on the asset and its operating profile.
Does the equipment need to be stopped to measure?
With online sensors, no: measurement is inline and continuous, directly on the equipment. With field and benchtop instruments, the reading is taken from an oil sample.
Does monitoring replace laboratory analysis?
It brings the decision forward. Continuous tracking flags the deviation as it appears; laboratory analysis remains useful for detailed root-cause investigation.
