Adsorption Wear Sensor
Overview

The wear probe that cleans itself

Continuously adsorbs and detects particles; upon saturation (100%) it releases the material and automatically restarts the cycle (self-cleaning). Reports saturation (MDS) and self-cleaning interval (TLAG).

What it measures

What it reports

Particle saturation (MDS)

0–100% (1% resolution)

How much of the probe's capacity is already taken by ferromagnetic particles.

Self-cleaning interval (TLAG)

300–3600 s adjustable

The counting period between cycles, tuned to your system.

Adsorption distance

up to 9 mm

Probe capture reach in oils up to 100 mm²/s viscosity.

How it works

Measurement principle

Adsorption probe that continuously captures and detects ferromagnetic particles and, upon saturation (100%), releases the material and restarts the cycle (self-cleaning).
1
Continuous adsorptionThe probe captures the ferromagnetic particles present in the oil.
2
RecordingSaturation (MDS) grows as particles accumulate, telling fine from coarse at micrometric level.
3
Self-cleaningAt 100%, the probe releases the material and restarts the cycle on its own.

Common questions

FAQ

What do MDS and TLAG mean?
MDS is the probe's particle saturation, from 0 to 100% with 1% resolution. TLAG is the self-cleaning interval, the counting period between cycles, adjustable from 300 to 3600 seconds.
Do I need to clean the probe manually?
No. Upon saturation, the probe releases the particles and restarts the cycle automatically.
How is it installed?
G1 thread, T6 aluminium probe, IP65 protection and DC 20–28 V supply.
Which oils and industries is it suited for?
Hydraulic, turbine, diesel, insulating and transformer oil. Applied in steel, petrochemical, power, wind, large equipment and OEM integration.
